The Swiss Mint has issued this stunning proof coin as a tribute to the 50th Anniversary of NASA's Apollo 11 lunar landing and Switzerland's contribution to the mission. Apollo 11 carried to the moon a Solar Sail developed physicists at the University of Bern, which was a 140 x 30 cm piece of aluminum foil coated to collect solar wind particles. Mintage of the 33 mm diameter 2019 Solar Sail Proof coin struck from .835 fine silver is limited to 5,000 coins.

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin is featured on the reverse in the act of planting the solar sail in the moon's cratered surface. A stylized "50" hovers above, with a portion of the Lunar Lander "Eagle" in the background. Inscribed "1969" and "2019."
The Swiss cross emblem is located on the obverse above the coin's denomination of "20 FR," framed by the inscription "CONFEDERATIO HELVETICA" and "2019" in a staggered circular pattern.

RETURNS:
Returns are accepted and given full refunds, if the item is returned in the original condition received. Refunds are then authorized and made to the method of payment that was made.
Special Orders, such as the Replica Apollo Suit cannot be cancelled, once ordered. Art Prints, Astronaut Suits and Models once shipped, cannot be cancelled. If returned, there is a 15% restocking fee. All orders older than 30 days that are returned for any reason, are also charged a 10% restocking fee.
