There is a reason why our sun is something that we depend on in our daily lives, while other stars don’t affect our day-to-day in any way. So, what makes the sun unique from other stars?

NASA has spent recent time upgrading their protocol yet again, this time using some of the most exciting technology we’ve seen to date. Now, for those worries out there, remember, this upgrade doesn’t reflect an increased threat level – it’s just part of standard operations by the organization.

Only 580 people have ever traveled into space—a large number when one hears it, but incredibly miniscule when one realizes that these are the only individuals who have accomplished this act since human history began. Of these 580 people, 334 have been American astronauts. And of this fraction, 87 have been inducted into NASA's Astronaut Hall of Fame.
