With this anniversary has come the reopening of the Apollo Mission Control Operations Room 2 which once served as the setting for one of the most groundbreaking missions in space exploration history.  

A new “green” propellant is hoped to be an alternative to the caustic and toxic fuel that has been used in the past.  If the launch is successful, it will have a massive impact on space travel.

We’ve all heard the mutterings of space analysts in regard to the threats that asteroids pose for us on Earth.  But how likely is it that an asteroid could do damage on our home planet?
