Bennu 3D Model

Bennu was first discovered in September of 1999, and is estimated to be more than 4.5 billion years old.  That age, combined with its mostly undisturbed surface, made it a potential goldmine for researchers. In 2016, NASA launched their OSIRIS-REx to collect and return samples of the asteroid.  Samples collected in 2018 are expected to return to earth in September 2023. Includes:
