At the head of our animal friend is Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, commonly called the "Dog Star". Historically, the heliacal rising of Sirius marked the flooding of the Nile in Ancient Egypt, and the Polynesians used this brilliant star for sea navigation.
The pendant is hand-stamped in bronze or sterling silver and shaped into a gentle dome. The stars are accurately placed based on star maps, down to the smallest magnitude we could manage. The pendant measures 7/8 inch in diameter and comes on a steel or sterling silver chain.
