Earliest Life - North Pole Dome Stromatolite
The oldest known fossil material are the North Pole Dome stromatolites of the Dresser Formation in Western Australia and date back to 3.4 billion years old.
Each specimen is hand cut from a rough material and measures approximately 5mm across. Samples are enclosed inside an acrylic jar and housed in a glass topped Riker display case measuring 4.5” x 3.5”. The color of each specimen varies from grey to red as well as the varying sharpness and thickness.
An information card is included as a certificate of authenticity.
