Enstatite chondrites are one of the rarest forms of meteorite, comprising approximately 1% of the chondrites that fall on Earth. They tend to be high in the mineral enstatite. Containing almost no iron oxide, they are the most oxygen-poor rocks known and are among the driest objects in the solar system.
